Research & Development

The team of developers and motion designers implimented line tracking algorythm and multi-channel ink reveal methods to transform the original artworks between two time periods. As the result, we were able to replicate water-coloring techinique to transform the original artworks between two time periods, while maintaining the chronological accuracy of the stories that were being told over the headset.

A custom made software was built to generate the line drawing effect, and those seqences were composited with over 500 masks to create the final look. Each zones were carefully curated to match the pacing of the narration, and additional hot spots were designed to initiate visitors’ engagement.
